If you send us an email at 11:30pm, most likely we’ll respond and be able to set up a repair for the following morning…

Jason emailed us last night at around 11:30pm about the cracked glass on his 15-inch Macbook Pro Unibody. He was leaving the University of Pennsylvania for the summer on Tuesday, and needed his computer fixed before then. We exchanged several emails back and forth, and before we knew it, it was 1:30am!

We set up a repair at his frat house this morning at UPenn. After about an hour, his computer was perfect again and ready for summer vacation. I think we need a vacation too…

Kelly works for the University of Pennsylvania and has had a Compaq Presario sitting in her closet for the last 2 years. She never thought she would be able to get her computer repaired for anything even close to being an affordable price. She saw our ad on the SEPTA platforms, and decided to take a chance and email us. We informed her that we do perform repairs on PC’s as well, and quoted her a repair price of $189 to replace the screen on her Compaq.

Needless to say, Kelly was thrilled, and we scheduled the repair. We ordered her screen, and met her on the University of Pennsylvania’s campus and did the repair while she was on her lunch break. She obviously loved it, and now loves her Compaq Presario again!

Please, don’t put your Macbook in your suitcase…

Obviously Heather doesn’t religiously read our Repair Blog. If she had, and read the story about Sarah in North Liberties here, she would have known that putting a Macbook in a carry on bag or a checked back on a flight is NOT a good idea. Heather had recently come home from spring break, and when she got back to her UPenn apartment, she discovered that the screen was shattered.

She hadn’t been using it for a couple of weeks before seeing our advertisement on the Septa train platforms. She called us up, and the repair was done in an hour. She couldn’t believe how great our service is!

We can replace entire screen assemblies, too…

We receive an email from Garrett at the University of Pennsylvania. He had a 2.2 Ghz Macbook Pro that didn’t have a broken screen, but the metal frame around the screen had cracked all the way through, putting a ton of stress on the screen. He hadn’t been able to use the Macbook Pro as a laptop because of the damage.

We ordered a used (but in perfect condition) screen assembly, swapped out his undamaged screen, and replaced the entire screen assembly. We ran into a few problems during the repair, being that the hinge screws had pulled loose from inside of the computer. Nothing that we couldn’t handle. His computer was good as new and he could finally use it as a laptop!

Snow and Macbook Pros don’t mix…

We got a call and an email from Joseph at University of Pennsylvania last Friday. He had a 15-inch 2.5 ghz Macbook Pro that had a broken screen that he wanted to get fixed. He dropped it in the snow last winter and had been using the Macbook Pro with an external monitor for the last 8 months or so.

We scheduled the repair for today at 12pm, met him at his apartment on UPenn’s campus, and completed the repair in 45 minutes. He looked like a kid in a candy shop with his basically brand new Macbook. He can finally use it as a laptop again!
