If we find pieces of wood stuck behind your screen, we can probably tell why it is broken…

We did a repair a couple of weeks ago for a guy named Billy whose son Jimmy had broken his screen. Well Billy referred us to Tom, one of his coworkers who had a broken his Macbook Pro’s screen. We gave Tom a call, and agreed to meet at his house today at 4pm.

While performing the screen replacement, we discovered what appeared to be shards of broken wood between the screen and the back of the computer. Tom jokingly said that it was from when he used the screen to hammer something in their shed (haha!).

After 40 minutes, Tom’s screen was replaced and the wood debris had been cleared away.

We got a call this week from Billy in Jenkintown. His son Jimmy (these sound like fake names, no?) had broken the screen on his white Macbook and needed it to be fixed. We scheduled the repair for today, and were greeted by the entire family in the living room, on the edge of their seats waiting to watch the repair process.

After a short (and very talkative) 30 minutes, Jimmy’s screen was replaced and the dog was asleep. All in a days work for the CrackedMacScreen.com crew.

The first sign of a broken Macbook screen is icons arranged strangely on the desktop…

Chris gave us a call after seeing our ad at the King of Prussia Mall outside of the Apple Store. He had been quoted a really high price that he couldn’t afford, so decided to give us a call. He loved that we are a local Philadelphia company and do repairs locally. He especially liked that he could watch us do the repair, since he honestly was just interested how it was done.

We met at the Starbucks in Jenkintown and got his computer back to normal in 30 minutes. I don’t know if you can tell in the pictures, but all of the icons on his desktop were dragged away from the crack in the screen so he could continue working on it. Hopefully he cleaned up the desktop a bit now that it’s fixed!

When you haven’t used your Macbook in a while, it may have a dead battery…

Diana gave us a call after visiting the Apple Store and hearing that it would be “around $600-$800″ to fix the broken screen on her 13-inch white Macbook. She told them flat out that she wouldn’t be able to afford that since she was currently in a job search and money was tight. They told her to walk outside of the store and go see our sign at the entrance to the Plaza side of the mall. She did, called us, and set up a repair for the next day.

We met her at her house in Jenkintown, and the repair was done in 30 minutes. Her computer hadn’t been used in so long that the battery had absolutely no charge, but luckily she had her Magsafe charger there too!
