This was the question we got from Isabelle earlier this evening. She called to ask if we could repair the broken LCD screen on her Macbook. Apparently, this cracked had been around for a while and Isabelle was hesitant to call because she was still rounding up some money. Once she had enough on hand, she call us and was delighted to learn to we were nearby and would be able to repair her cracked laptop screen before the sun went down.
We traveled over to the Chula Vista/National City area and met with Isabelle at her home. Her mother’s cooking smelled delicious and it made the repair a little distracting. But, sure enough, we were able to get her laptop screen repaired in less than 40 minutes. She was happy to see a brand new screen in her computer and was even more thrilled knowing that she didn’t have to pay a fortune to get it fixed. Glad we could help Isabelle!

…and sure enough, when Samuel woke up in the morning he Macbook’s LCD screen had a big crack in it. The screen was destroyed and Samuel could only make out about 10% of what was on the screen. Being a post-doc student at UCLA, he needed his Macbook back in a hurry. He quickly turned to a tool we’re all familiar with – Google. After a few strokes and mouse clicks he landed on our website and began to look through some of our posts and macbook reviews to make sure we were legit. An email and a phone call later, we had an appointment with Samuel at Boelter Hall on the UCLA campus.
Not wanting to take away from his studies, we told him we’d be able to fix his LCD screen in about 30 minutes. Once finished, he was happy to get back to work. We told him a little more about our service and he mentioned that he had several friends with cracked Macbook Pro screens and Macbook Pro Unibody glass. He’s going to recommend us to them. For anyone else with a broken Mac screen, give us a call. We’re mobile and can usually repair screen in less than an hour.

Nicole wrote us an email a couple days ago asking if we’d be up in the LA area on Friday. We mentioned to her that we travel up to LA once or twice a week and told her that the next time we’d be there would be this Friday. Super busy working for the LA Times, she asked if it would be possible to meet somewhere in the downtown area. We said no problem and settled on Groundworks right on 2nd Street. Nicole had a shattered screen on her Macbook laptop and needed the LCD screen replaced.
We met her in the afternoon and did the repair right outside of the restaurant. It was a beautiful day and we got the chance to show off our service to many of the people passing by. In just under 40 minutes, Nicole had her broken Mac screen looking like new. Glad we were able to help, Nicole. If you feel like writing a story about us, you know our number!

You may accidentally close the display and crack your screen. Such was the case with Nicole last week. She left her iPod ear plugs nearby and somehow one of them found its way to the keyboard. When she was finished surfing the web, she closed her screen right down on top of the ear plug and cracked her Macbook LCD screen. Within a few days the crack had reach all the way across the screen, preventing her from seeing much of her desktop. She spoke with her boyfriend’s father about the crack and he found a mac repair service in San Diego that would come up to their house and repair it quickly.
We were able to fix her Macbook screen in no time. Over the last several months, we’ve noticed this has become a common occurrence. There is no doubt that iPods and Macbooks are wonderful machines. But be careful and keep them at a safe distance from each other.

Yes, we do! We got this question from Kim earlier today. Long, long ago when we first started repairing Macbook screens, we knew there was another need out there for folks with cracked iPhone screens in San Diego. Although our voice mail message needs a little updating, we do indeed repair shattered iPhone screens.
Kim, a resident of San Marcos, needed her daughter’s iPhone fixed after it was dropped during a basketball shoot around at school. The phone slipped out of her daughter’s pocket and came crashing down. As you will see in the picture, the fall caused a decent amount of damage to the glass display. We met with Kim and her daughter and replaced the broken iPhone screen in less than 30 minutes. It was looking good as new. Good luck next season!
