Refusing to get a new computer that isn’t a Mac is a good way to get your parents to get your Mac fixed…

Bonnie called us up about the screen on her son’s 13-inch Macbook that had been broken for nearly 6 months. They had brought it to the Apple Store, which was where they learned that it would be about $800 for the repair. They took it to the Geek Squad at Best Buy too, which was around the same price. A repair out of the question, Bonnie’s son was reduced to using their old Windows laptop.

Her son’s perspective on the future of his Macbook changed when he saw one of the flyers that we have up at West Chester University. He called up his mom, she called us, and his Macbook was repaired that night. A climactic end to an extremely un-climactic story.

Chiara called us up a few days ago, desperate to get her white Macbook’s screen replaced. She lives near Long Island, but was unable to get into New York City. She wanted to go for the Ship-In Program, and she loved the $299 price.

We overnighted her a laptop box on Wednesday and she received it Thursday at 10:30am. She put her white Macbook inside, signed the CrackedMacScreen.com Work Order, included a check for $299, and dropped off the box at FedEx with the included overnight label. We received her Macbook on Friday and replaced her screen within an hour. We overnighted her back her Macbook and she got it Saturday morning at 11am. All in all, she was without her Macbook for two days total, and she saved about $400 versus using the store near her house.

We also replaced her keyboard free of charge because we were feeling great from the awesome warm weather! This is what Chiara had to say about us on our Facebook fan page:

“Hey you guys are absolutely incredible, thanks Trevor SO much for fixing my macbook. After my brother threw the x-box controller at my macbook i thought i was totally screwed, but not only did he save the totaled screen Trevor also fixed my keyboard. Absolutely amazing thanks guys!”

Peter called us up on Sunday about the cracked screen on his 2.33ghz Macbook Pro. He is a wedding photographer in the Atlanta area, and has his own company called StoryboardLife Photography. He needed his Macbook Pro fixed as soon as physically possible, because he couldn’t stand working on his old Dell laptop anymore. The Macbook Pro had been sitting around, but it was finally time for Peter to get it back in working order.

He did a quick Google search about cracked Mac screens, and found us (of course!). He realized he wasn’t close to any of our branches, so he opted for the “Ship-In Program”. We shipped him a laptop box on Monday, he received it Tuesday with a prepaid label inside. He dropped it off at FedEx, and we had his Macbook Pro on Wednesday. We fixed it in about 2 hours, and shipped it back. He had it fixed and in his hands on Thursday by 10:30am.  Oh, and did we mention that the three-way overnight shipping is FREE?

Peter was so happy, in fact, that he sent us this glowing testimonial:

Thank you for fixing my damaged screen on my Macbook Pro. My Mac is one of the important parts of by business and Apple was going to charge me $800 and keep it for up to 5 days. I was so glad to hear that it only takes 3 days and cheaper. The process and time lines were communicated thoroughly and in three days I had a brand new screen. I don’t know if I should say I look forward to doing business with you again since I don’t want my screen to crack I am certainly going to refer you to my Mac friends. Thanks again.

He also wrote an expansive review of us on his own blog, which can be read here:

When you want us to do your repair, could you pick a day when it’s sunny?

Marian called us yesterday morning about the cracked glass on her 13-inch Macbook Pro Unibody. One of her friends had knocked the computer off of a chair, and although it didn’t actually break the LCD, the glass was shattered. She, being from California, called up her parents to tell her the bad news. But luckily, she had already researched our service and was able to lessen the blow by explaining that although her computer was out of commission for a few days, she wouldn’t be out an arm and a leg with the repair.

We told her that repairs in New York City are only $20 more than repairs in Philadelphia, since we come up to NYC for the day. She was delighted, and we scheduled the repair for Monday. Marian’s classes were done at 3:30pm, so we met her at her dorm (in the nasty nasty rain!). Seriously, the weather couldn’t have been worse. But you know what makes the day better? A fixed Mac! An hour after meeting up with Marian, the glass was replaced on her 13-inch Macbook Pro Unibody and she could get back to designing. She is a design student at The New School, afterall.

“Dude, don’t go to the store. Call up CrackedMacScreen.com. They’re legit…”

Stan called us up tonight after cracking the screen on his white 13-inch Macbook. He told us that he was going to take it to the Apple Store, but after talking to his friend that goes to Temple University, his friend told him “Dude, don’t go to the Apple Store, call up CrackedMacScreen.com. They do repairs all over Philly. They are legit.” He then gave Stan our website and phone number, and obviously Stan called us up.

We met him at his apartment on South Broad about 45 minutes later, approximately 8:30pm on a Sunday night. While fighting off his two huge playful dogs, the screen was replaced and Stan was back in action in about 30 minutes. Talk about a lifesaver.
