Carlynn gave us a call last night after discovering what she would have to pay to get her Macbook repaired through the Apple store. She needed to find a way to get her screen fixed for much less. Fortunately, she had been recommended to check us out.
Once on the phone, we learned that Carlynn wasn’t exactly sure what happened to her Macbook. All she knew was the fact there was a long crack running the length of her screen. She wasn’t happy. We discussed what would be the best place and time to meet and before long settled on meeting at Fashion Valley Mall’s food court. Once the sun went down it was beginning to get cold. But in less than a half an hour, we had Carlynn’s Macbook screen looking like new again.

I got a call on my cellphone yesterday from Dan at Philadelphia University. He had dropped his 2.16 Ghz Macbook Pro a week ago and was in desperate need of a repair. His roommate Zach, who had cracked his Macbook back in October, had used us to repair his Macbook Pro. Dan works at King of Prussia Mall, doing valet. He had already taken it to the Apple Store, where they told him that it would be $800 for the repair and that it is “impossible to replace only the LCD”. The Genius told him that he has to get his entire display replaced.
We told him that we could replace the LCD for less than half of what they quoted him, at $349 flat. Dan was thrilled, and scheduled the repair for tonight.
We didn’t get to use the same beer pong table as we did for Zach’s repair, but it went very well and Dan was extremely happy.

Yes, sometimes for a college student Sunday mornings can be rough. For (we’ll call him) John, a junior at (we’ll call it) San Diego Sunshine State University of California, this particularly Sunday was not one he will look back on fondly. We won’t go into too much detail because he wasn’t able to go into too much detail but all we can say is he woke up in the morning and his screen looked like it does below.
Fortunately, his roommate had seen several of our fliers around campus and was able to point him in the right direction. John gave us a call later that afternoon and we were able to get his screen fix just in time for finals week. Good luck on exams to John and all the other students at SDSSUC!
Perhaps it’s appropriate to mention our warranty policy at this time. If John were to wake up and find his Macbook screen cracked again (knock of wood), we would fix it for just $100. Not a bad deal, eh?

We got an email last night from Steve in Conshohocken. He said that his kids had sprayed Windex on the screen of his Macbook Pro and that the screen looked “solarized”. Not knowing exactly what that meant, we were really excited (is that bad?) to see what had happened to his screen. We scheduled the repair for today at 2:30pm, which happened to be in the middle of the 24 inch blizzard that the Philadelphia area experienced. But we are devoted to same-day service!
So we made it through the blizzard to Steve’s house in Conshohocken. The screen was indeed messed up a bit from the Windex, but also it looked as though the screen was cracked in the bottom left corner. That’s what made the screen looked so distorted.
We knew what needed to be done: his LCD needed to be replaced. 30 minutes later, and you can bet Steve won’t be letting his kids use his computer for a while.

Samantha, a freshman at UCLA, is an early riser. She attributes this to the fact that she loves watching the sun come up. Of course, she also mentioned she has an 8AM class to get to three times a week and that class just so happens to be on the only end of campus. Several mornings ago she was trying to quietly get ready for class, paying extra special attention as to not wake up her roommate, when all of a sudden she heard a slight crack from the laptop that was left on the floor the night before. One loud scream and a few choice words later, both were up and looking at the broken screen that had resulted.
Wanting to get her computer fixed soon but not wanting to take it to the Apple store, Samantha turned to Craigslist. A few clicks later, Samantha discovered our site and learned that we have recently started to service the Los Angeles area. Every Friday we travel north from San Diego to make repairs in LA. After a couple of phone calls with Samantha, we were able to arrange a time to meet outside Cafe Synapse in North Campus. 45 minutes later her laptop was good as new.
